Looking for a lunchtime option that packs a flavour punch but doesn’t hit your wallet hard? Then make a note to head to the new branch of Dumpling Republic which is opening up in the Wintergarden very soon.

With a very successful business at Robina on the Gold Coast, the team behind Dumpling Republic have heeded the demands from a hungry public and brought the goods to Brisbane.

These delicious parcels of happiness and flavour will have you hankering for more almost as soon as you’ve finished. And that was Master Sim’s plan all along. At just 17 Mr Sim entered the cauldron of large and famous kitchens in Singapore training under some of the worlds most renowned Iron chefs. Once he had achieved the status of Master Sim, his skills took him to Russia, China and beyond. And now Dumpling Republic is utilising his extensive talents and obvious passion for fine food to bring the best dumplings to their customers.

With six Asian languages and dialects in his repertoire, he has learned so much in his long career, not just about different cultures but also about the art of food and how to initiate his customers into the world of exceptional taste.

At Dumpling Republic, all dumplings are hand-crafted to provide diners with deliciously authentic Asian cuisine with a contemporary twist. They love to share this vision and ask you to picture a team of tiny kimono-clad grandmas back there in the kitchen shaping perfect round dumplings at ninja fast speed. Although this may not be strictly accurate, it appears that everyone in the kitchen is on their way to becoming dumpling ninjas.

Opening October 3 on Level 1 in the Wintergarden, Queen Street Mall. Now is the time to make dumplings your new lunchtime fare.
