Bringing even more burger cred to Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, Chur’s burgers ooze flavour without a big price tag.

It seems hardly a week goes past without yet another burger join opening in Fortitude Valley, but Chur, in the ground floor of the new TRYP hotel, is set to shake it all up with its flavour busting $10 burger menu.

Chur is the latest in a long line of successful and award-winning ventures created by super chef Warren Turnbull, which include some of Sydney’s and Auckland’s busiest restaurants and bars.

“I’ve been visiting Brisbane for years and fallen in love with it,” says Warren Turnbull. “The people, the weather and the vibe are so enticing. It works so with with the Chur brand which is totally laid back, cool and relaxing. It is an environment where you will feel just as comfortable wearing your footy shirt and thongs or a designer dress and diamonds.”

I don’t know about the designer dress and diamonds, as I would be worried about burger juice spilling on my dress, but Chur certainly has an ‘everybody welcome’ atmosphere.

The menu ranges from pulled pork burgers with Chur’s own BBQ sauce, red slaw and fennel mayo to grilled sirloin with caramelised onions and chipotle butter.

Drinks include a hard-to-beat salted caramel milkshake, beer on tap and Moet Imperial.

“There will be great local wines and some fun, interesting cocktails served by friendly staff who enjoy coming to work and being part of the Chur family we have created,” said Turnbull.

Pop in for breakfast and you’ll also find plenty to tempt your palate, including a Chur breakfast burger or creamed mushrooms with cheese grits and crispy sage. For the health conscious there’s also a breakfast smoothie or porridge with oats, quinoa and poached fruits.

Turnbull is also behind Up, a rooftop bar on the top level of Australia’s first TRYP hotel which is in its final stages of preparation and is set to open this month.

You’ll find Chur at 14 -20 Constance Street, Fortitude Valley
