Craft beer and cider fans now have the chance to meet and talk with their favourite brewers.
The Beer InCider Experience, is set to be a Brisbane first with 35 independently-owned breweries, 130 beers and ciders, live music, burlesque and matching gourmet food.
Breweries attending this event include some of Australia’s finest craft beer and cider companies including Stone & Wood, Mountain Goat, Feral Brewing Co, 4 Pines, Willie Smiths Cider, Bacchus Brewing and Batlow Cider. It also features some up and coming stars of the craft brew scene including Croft Brewing, Two Birds Brewing, Clare Valley Brewing Co, Faire Ferments and New England Brewing Co.
Local foodies The Bun Mobile, That BBQ Joint, Pizzantica, Peel St Kitchen, Daltons Hospitality and Bald Rock Beef Jerky will be serving up lashings of tasty treats. As part of a very special collaboration, chef Ben Devlin (Esquire) and his beer inspired side project Beerkary will be creating amazing bites to match Melbourne based Killer Sprocket’s new brew that will be launched at the festival.
Entertainment is also an exciting element of the festival and live music will feature heavily. Headlining both days of music is Jack Carty and Karl S Williams. Carty has just released a heartwarming duet with Katie Noonan while Williams wowed audiences at last year’s Woodford Folk Festival and is a firm favourite of the Brisbane music scene.
Festival Director Martin Keetels says he is thrilled with the quality of craft breweries, food providers and music acts they’ve been able to assemble for the event.
“The concept is to provide Brisbane with an outdoor festival which centres around quality craft brews, exceptional eats and engaging music,” he says.”It’s also a celebration of spring in Brisbane and our climate. We’re saying to Brisbane, come out and enjoy this time of year and experience some really interesting flavours.
“We’re also delighted to be supporting Melanoma Patients Australia (MPA). It’s a charity close to my heart because it was founded by one of best mates. I’m delighted we can support this great cause and spread the word about melanoma.”
The Beer InCider Experience will be held on 20 September and 21 September at Albion Park Harness Racing Club. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit our Event Guide. The entry fee includes live music, burlesque performances and the opportunity to chat with the brewers!
