Hamilton’s L’angolo Bistrò has debuted three new menu items that are sure to stoke the fire in your belly this winter.

Run by the same two couples who are also responsible for Colle Rosso Ristorante Italiano in Red Hill — Lisa and Marco, and David and Laura, who were both born in Rome — L’angolo Bistro lives up to its billing as an authentic Italian restaurant.

“We are all proud of our Italian heritage and bringing fresh, authentic Italian cooking to Hamilton,” says Lisa. “Italian food is not about heavy carbs but enjoying the essence of each ingredient that is used to put a delicious meal together on a plate.

“We want people to have as much pleasure and passion eating the food as we do making it. In Italty, eating is always a celebration which brings people together everyday, not only for special occasions. We want people in Australia to do the same here at L’angolo.”

The new menu items are:

    • Antipasto — Arrosticini di Agnello (gluten free) — Grilled Italian lamb skewers served with Dijon mustard and a salsa verde.
    • Pasta — Fettucine al Ragù d’Agnello — Homemade free range egg fettuccine served with a slow cooked lamb ragout and Reggiano cheese.
    • Dessert — Crostatina alla Nutella — Homemade Italian tart filled with Nutella, served with a Mascarpone quenelle and fresh berries. This is, quite simply, a must-try exercise in pure indulgence.
