Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food Mobile Kitchen has arrived on QUT’s Kelvin Grove campus.
The university’s Wellness Matters program has invited Jamie’s Ministry of Food Mobile Kitchen to the campus in solidarity with the celebrity chef’s belief that knowing how to cook healthy food from scratch is one of the best things you can do for your health, happiness and finances. In other words, it’s time to learn how to cook something other than mi goreng noodles, guys.
From Monday 14 July, the Mobile Kitchen’s five-week cooking courses will teach staff, students and locals to cook with fresh ingredients. Participants will be taught how to cook via a hands-on experience led by the Ministry of Food’s Food Trainers, with help from local volunteers.
The Mobile Kitchen will be based at QUT’s Kelvin Grove campus until September 2014. A five-week course costs only $50, or $25 for concession card holders. To book your place, and for all class dates and times, visit jamiesministryoffood.com.
