U.G.L.Y Bartenders all over Australia need your help to raise money for The Leukaemia Foundation.
The Leukaemia Foundation is running a competition to find Brisbane’s U.G.L.Y Bartender of the Year.
It’s not what you think — U.G.L.Y stands for Understanding, Generous, Likeable, You, and throughout the competition, bartenders create their own fundraising events to raise money for the foundation.
The Leukaemia Foundation will be hunting for the U.G.L.Y bartender from Saturday July 26 to Monday September 8 across all of Queensland’s pubs and clubs.
Big-hearted bartenders are invited to register and the U.G.L.Y Bartender website, and think of the more creative and fun ways to raise the most money for the charity.
Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland CEO Bill Petch says: “Last year more than 250 big-hearted Queensland bartenders raised $258,000 which went towards providing vital support services to patients and families whose lives have been devastated by blood cancer.”
The prizes on offer for top fundraisers include an ice machine for the winning fundraiser’s venue and a $3000 travel voucher.
