One of Brisbane’s favourite markets is set to welcome in winter tomorrow by extending its weekend trading hours.

The celebrated Eat Street Markets on Hamilton Wharf will open on Sunday from 11am to 7pm for the first time this weekend, so families don’t have to brave the cold winter evenings.

The Eat Street Markets’ extended trading hours will run for 16 weeks, beginning May 18, allowing visitors to grab Sunday brunch or an early dinner from the multitude of stalls.

The organisers have said to expect more fruit and vegetables, specialised berries and take-home gourmet pasta on Sunday’s offering.

The markets has the atmosphere of a south-east Asian night market, where 50 shipping containers can be found filled with mini-restaurants, bars, galleries and produce stores.

Market-goers can select from a range of international cuisine, including dishes from Thailand, Hungary, Italy, Greece and China.

Here’s what our readers think of the cuisine on offer at the Eat Street Markets.

Catch the markets from 4pm to 10pm on Friday/Saturday evenings or throughout Sunday.
