The Riverside Centre welcomes the opening of The Imperial – an exquisite Cantonese venue reflecting modern Chinese cuisine.
The Imperial, a venue inspired by the flavours of modern China, joined the Riverside Centre’s culinary collective on Wednesday April 16.
Specialising in authentic Cantonese cuisine, The Imperial’s menu and style pays homage to the spice-blends and cooking principles that makes Chinese food widely loved.
Flavours will be delicate and aromatic, with seafood as a strong element, and guests are invited to dine a la carte or through Yum Cha.
Three former Hong Kong chefs are bringing the menu to life through their respective specialities.
Executive Chef Raymond Wu has worked in Hong Kong’s premium seafood venues for 31 years, and has watched Chinese cuisine evolve.
Owner Larry Wang says China’s palate has changed particularly over the past 10 years.
“Rather than the typical ‘fusion’ menus seen often in restaurants which showcase international menus, The Imperial will reflect the Chinese culinary landscape of 2014 and beyond,” says Wang.
The Imperial is positioned on the Brisbane River with 180 degree ceiling-to-floor glass views of the Story Bridge.
