The cafe and restaurant minds from Venzin Group have come up with a new venture for Kedron locals.

The group behind Pawpaw, Green Papaya, Mons Ban Sabai and Picnic are bringing their acclaimed breakfast skills to a new venture in Kedron – Little Pawpaw.

Taking over an old corner shop in the middle of suburbia, Little Pawpaw brings inner-city fare and quality coffee to residents of the northern Brisbane suburb.

Head in and enjoy a Campos coffee beside the kitsch orange-and-white pawpaw decor from local artists Kool Thing and Junky Illustration.

“I am a Kedronite, and I am excited to see somewhere local offering some healthy alternative dishes,” says Linda Kirby on the Little Pawpaw Facebook page.

North Brisbane is definitely needing some south-side charm to brighten up the offerings in the suburbs, and since the Venzin Group’s other four restaurants are bringing the bacon in blossoming foodie spots Woolloongabba and Camp Hill they’re the perfect people to inject some life into Kedron’s cafes.

“No one does breakfast quite like Brisbane,” says Pawpaw Cafe general manager Giorgina Venzin on the Venzin Group blog. “We have lines around the block starting from early in the morning every weekend, it’s crazy.

“Brisbane is really becoming a foodie capital comparable to Sydney and Melbourne.”
