Following the success of their Milton store, Vietnamese Restaurant & Bakery Rice Paper Scissors have set up a new residence in Hamilton.
Hamilton Harbour, recently named Queensland’s best new retail & business space, have welcomed in Rice Paper Scissors – a Vietnamese Restaurant and Bakery that is already impressing the locals.
It’s the second store to be set up in Brisbane, following the success of Rice Paper Scissors in Milton.
Brisbane-based couple Jason and Pamela Pham have both brought 16 years of cuisine experience, as well as their Vietnamese heritage to the business.
Rice Paper Scissors is directly inspired by the sidewalk dining and street food of Vietnam.
Staple menu items include:
Slow-cooked pork belly
Traditional pho (beef noodle soup)
Red curry prawns
Range of rice paper rolls
Vietnamese-style iced coffee
Both stores are authentically decorated with photographs from Vietnam and coloured lanterns.
Owner Jason Pham said they specifically chose Hamilton Harbour to suit Rice Paper Scissors’ identity.
“Our Vietnamese eatery and bakery is a new concept offering authentic, traditional, fresh and fast food,” said Mr Pham.
“Our recipes are all our own and everything is made in house, which we hope locals really love.”
Local reviews so far comment that the service and atmosphere is great, but the prices and value for money are most notable.
They join the international cuisine line up at Hamilton Harbour including L’Angolo Italian Bistro, Shinsen Sushi, and a teppenyaki opening soon.
