The Glen Hotel may become the new dining destination of the South-side with their new Garden Grille Restaurant and Bar led by Executive Chef Patrick Carlos.

A great steak dinner is an Aussie staple, there is nothing better than enjoying a cold beer with a delicious juicy steak on a Sunday afternoon. Now diners can enjoy all this and so much more at The Glen Hotel.

The Glen has been overdue for a face-lift and the new look  Garden Grille Restaurant and Bar was certainly worth the wait, this new offering will hopefully prompt improvement in South-side dining scene.

They haven’t cut any corners either with the $1 million dollar upgrade creating an amazing new space to enjoy food, wine and company, just check out the photos.

They have also brought on Executive Chef Patrick Carlos,  former Head Chef at iconic Brisbane restaurant Cha Cha Char. Chef Carlos certainly knows his steak and he was prompted to leave Cha Cha Char so he could serve to a larger crowd.

“I loved working in the fast paced environment at Char, but I longed for the challenge and excitement of cooking with a team for large scale events.”

Chef Carlos is also looking forward to passing on his knowledge to his new team at the Garden Grille Restaurant and Bar.

“Working with Char was extremely rewarding. I learnt so much about the quality of meats, cuts and origins; I’m excited to pass this knowledge onto my new team,” he said.

The Garden Grille Restaurant and Bar will be serving premium locally sourced steak along with an à la carte dining experience. The owners of the Glen Hotel Brian and Greg Fitzgibbons have been working in the hospitality business for over 50 years and pride themselves on using only the best local meat and providing a enjoyable dining experience.

“The Southside deserves great places to get together and enjoy terrific tasting, good value meals with family, friends or colleagues.”

“Our steaks are sourced exclusively in Australia from the best beef purveyors and our seafood arrives on our doorstep from some of the greatest regions in Australia, such as Cone Bay in WA,” said Brian.

But wait there is more, the restaurant re-do was only part of the story, it was prompted by the $8 million dollar 4.5 star accommodation offering that will be completed by half way through next year.

You can check out The Glen Hotel’s Garden Grille Restaurant and Bar  on the corner of Logan Road and Gaskell Street, Eight Mile Plains. Enjoy a one of these premium steaks and let us know what you think of the new upgrade.
