The 200ml sparkling wine bottles form Sirromet are just in time for high demand over Christmas.
The 200ml bottles from Queensland’s Sirromet‘s Vineyard Selection NV wine contain 1.7 standard drinks and were labeled and packaged on the company’s newly-expanded sparkling production line at the Sirromet Mount Cotton headquarters.
Chief Winemaker Adam Chapman says the size of the bottles make it perfect for casual Queensland- style Christmas parties.
“They are easy to carry in backpacks for outdoor picnics, barbecues, day trips, and camping.
“It is a zesty, refreshing wine ideal for the festive season, and the tight, small bubbles lift the fruit right out of the glass,” Chapman says.
The first batch of the NV wine was made from Pinot Gris and Verdelho fruit from the Granite Belt vineyards on Sirromet’s sparkling bottling line, which was expanded in the past month.
“In the past we had to label sparkling wines on our other bottling line, but now we can do everything in the one place which saves time and is more efficient,” Chapman says.
The 200ml bottles feature screw caps and can be purchased online from Sirromet for $150 for a case of 24 units.
The company’s sparkling wines available for Christmas include a 2008 Pinot Noir Chardonnay and a 2011 Sparkling Red from Petit Verdot fruit, which are both in the Signature Collection range.
Other online Christmas gift offerings from Sirromet include a $20 winery tour and tasting vouchers.
Chapman says the bottles are the perfect size for small secret Santa gifts for the office or for any special occasion over summer.
