Those of you who love ‘The Muppet Show’ will recognise Statler and Waldorf as the name of two rather disagreeable old fellows, dressed in dapper suits.
Statler and Waldorf is now a cool, new gastro pub in Caxton Street, Paddington.
The trio behind the venue – Jay Lambert, Andrew Tolley and Steve McDermott, have created an inviting space amongst exposed brick walls and a bar that would impress the fussiest drinkers amongst us.
Tolley looks after a changing menu at Statler and Waldorf and keeping food seasonal and exciting.
The spring menu on offer now includes bar snacks like a half pint of school prawns and a lemon thyme and verjuice spring chicken sandwich.
More substantial meals like the Toowoomba corned beef schnitzel and market fish are on offer, as well as ‘afters’ like local cheese and ‘Dad’s meringues’.
With plenty of good food on offer, as well as a fantastic line up of local and international beers, Statler and Waldorf is somewhere I’ll be frequenting this summer.
The Statler and Waldorf is a Gastronomy Pub that focuses on life’s simple pleasures.
Located at 25 Caxton Street Petrie Terrace Statler and Waldorf can be contacted on 3368 1932 or visit us at www.statlerandwaldorf.co
