Pony Dining is hosting the search for Brisbane’s best cocktail bartender this Sunday.

The gloves are off and the drinks are spilling at Pony Dining – over three weeks, nine of the city’s best cocktail creators from some of the hottest bars in town have been competing to earn the title of Brisbane’s best bartender (and a cool $2000 – but really, it’s the title that matters).

This Sunday 24 November from 2pm to 5pm the final round kicks off. Each mixologist is required to create a cocktail from sparkling wine before offering their own signature drink.

During the competition the (in)famous Pony Punch – inspired by the classic Russian Spring Punch and created with vodka, crème de mure, apple, lemon juice and lemonade – will be on special from $18 to $10 for cocktail-enthusiasts keen to watch the action.

So head on down and enjoy the theatrics, music and views and find out who will win the crown of Brisbane’s best cocktail creator. While you are there, enjoy one of Brisbane’s best river views.  Prop yourself up on the balcony and watch the world float past or check out the action on Eagle Street Pier.

Pony specialises in honest and uncomplicated food with a flavour-driven menu that focuses on modern Australian food.  Expect an array of shared plates and the aroma of wood smoke wafting gently from the kitchen as your meal is cooked over the open coal pit.  Look up and you’ll see a curious ribbon of metal running through the building – it’s a lasso loop, connecting the spaces and the trademark Pony brand.
