Emily’s Sweet Treat at Clayfield has taken out the top gong of Show Grand Champion and the Pastry and Cake Champion with eight category 1st Place wins at the 2013 Brisbane Baking Show.

Hosted by the National Baking Industry Association, The Brisbane Baking Show showcases the best the baking industry has to offer in Show Bread, Commercial Bread, Cake and Pastries.

Against strong industry competition and a tough panel of industry expert judges, Emily’s Sweet Treat prevailed over a massive eight category 1st Place wins at the show, winning them the coveted Show Grand Champion.

Emily’s Sweet Treat is owned and operated by creative pastry chefs and cake artists Emil Silva and Jenny Li who met when studying in patisseries at Southbank Institute in Brisbane. The couple profess their ‘commitment to create unforgettable sweet memories’ through Emily’s Sweet Treat.

They specialise in a wide variety of baking, from cake pops and cookies, to artisan pastries, French macaroons and wedding cakes.

In what has become a fine cake making trend, Emily’s Sweet Treat will cater to all customised cake making requests through their ‘Bring your design and we’ll cake it’ service.

Cake base flavours offered at Emily’s include vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, carrot, banana, brownie, dark or white mud, and fruit cake, while a range of gluten free and vegan options are also available.

The Brisbane Baking Show is held in Brisbane each year and is part of the long and rich heritage of baking competitions and shows that have been run over the last century throughout Australia.
