Celebrate the countdown to the weekend at Bacchus with head Sommelier Andrew Giblin as he hosts Vine and Wine Wednesdays.
“It is difficult to quantify why wine is an integral part of any dining experience,” Giblin says from Bacchus.South Bank
“For me, wine encapsulates a moment in time and can conjure an emotion or physical reaction. Recall a memory or be the beginning of a new one.
“It is more than fermented grapes. It brings about passionate discussion and heated arguments and can take you around the world in a moment.”
These free weekly wine tastings provide an ongoing opportunity to sample new drops, and gain insight into the wonderful world of wine as you learn from one of the best in the business. Wines sampled in the past include
Palomino, Semillon, Grenache Shiraz Mouvedre and Shiraz while wine makers such as Steve Flamsteed are also known to pop in.
All are welcome to attend Vine and Wine Wednesdays at Bacchus’ South Bank location and no bookings or reservations are required.
