Escobar is a small gastro bar in New Farm.
They’re calling it the home away from home, and as Escobar Kitchen & Bar continues to grow in popularity, the locals are trying to keep it hush-hush. Nestled in an old Queenslander cottage with a chic urban style, this retro bar is equipped with a quaint outdoor courtyard and repurposed patio furniture.
Manager and part owner Lee is your go-to bar guy with knowledge on how to mix a fine cocktail from scratch. Lee spices his own rum, makes his own tonic syrup (with real quinine) and knows his beers and wines like a pro. If you get past Lee’s engaging banter, than the infused gin or rum concoctions on tap are a must.
Did we mention the vol-au-vents, devilled eggs and cheese fondue? All the meals have a sentimental touch that fits perfectly in this humble abode.
With real music and a rustic décor, Escobar is an all-year-round restaurant.
