The guys behind Rocker Classic Motorcycles have ventured out with Ton Up Café & Bar, bringing all things rockabilly to the back streets of Nundah.

Ton Up Café & Bar, a motorcycle-enthusiast’s mecca, is just one facet of the Rocker Classic Motorcycles’ pit stop.

The motorcycle repairs shop, barbershop, café by day and bar come weekend has become a hub for locals.

Ton Up, the term dubbed for riding a motorcycle at 100 miles per hour, became a rock & roll counterculture in ‘50s Britain, and the new café embodies this completely.

The space is teeming with motorbike memorabilia, from the Castrol oil drums, old school racer to the registration plates scattered over the walls.

For amusement there’s a pool table, arcade games, chess board and a stage equipped with house instruments. If visiting Ton Up on the weekend, Saturday is stand-up Chuckle Head Comedy Night and Sundays are for live music sessions with resident band Hot Giggity.

The commercial grade Nespresso machine pumps out quality coffee or there’s spirits, wine and 15 different craft beers on offer. Food-wise, think classic Australian – Byron Bay pies, burgers and sausage rolls.

No motorbike is needed to visit, just enjoy a coffee or beer in the garage and watch the mechanics at work.
