On the corner of Little Stanley and Grey Street, a retro heaven can be found offering nostalgic feasts to the tunes of a jukebox.
When dining at South Side, consider a stack of pancakes drizzled with Canadian maple syrup, buffalo wings or a foot-long smoked bourbon hot dog.
To welcome in winter, South Side has introduced a few more notable meals including the South Beach Burger (the venue’s first vegetarian burger), the Crispy Fried Duck and Chilli Con Carn & Roasted Banana Pepper.
Also, after the success of 2 for 1 Mac n Cheese Mondays, South Side has decided that this special will continue indefinitely.
Head chef Dean Brewer, originally from Next Door, is the brains behind the iconic Americana meals.
There’s no skipping a slice of his pumpkin, apple or cherry pie with a famous Tootsie Roll or Reese’s Peanut Nutter Shake.
However, it’s not all about the food at South Side Diner, but the eclectically vintage atmosphere.
If you’re sitting between the booths or perched on the chrome stools at the bar, expect to feel as if you have taken a trip back to the 50s and the Grease cast could stroll in at any moment.
